In the busy days leading up to our first big release of 2009, we have been too busy to write about some other major news: two new people joined our team in the past weeks. Diego is just about to complete his Master's Degree in Engineering at the prestigious university of Pisa; he has been using Linux and FreeBSD for several years now, and he's joining us as a junior system administrator. If you have a managed hosting, housing or professional services contract with us, you'll be talking to him as a first line of support. That's a lot for someone fresh out of college, but he has been stepping up quickly, so you can expect great stuff from him--we know we do (no pressure, Diego :D ). Margherita is also a student getting close to the finishing line, but she's getting a Master in Communication Design at the well-known Politecnico di Milano. She is currently an intern in our software development team, working side by side with us on our next project (still under wraps, but not for long!) to turn our ugly webapp ducklings into something beautiful and user friendly. But that's just the beginning, and I doubt she'll get bored anytime soon, either.
Nei giorni frenetici prima della nostra prima grossa release del 2009 siamo stati troppo impegnati per annunciare un'altra grossa novità: due nuovi collaboratori si sono uniti a noi nelle ultime settimane. Diego sta per completare la laurea specialistica in ingegneria all'università di Pisa; usa Linux e FreeBSD da anni, e si unisce a noi come junior system administrator. Se avete un contratto di hosting, housing o assistenza sistemistica, parlerete spesso con lui come prima linea di assistenza. Non è poco per qualcuno fresco di università, ma sta imparando velocemente, quindi potete aspettarvi grandi cose da lui--noi di certo ce le aspettiamo (nessuna pressione, Diego :D ). Anche Margherita è una studentessa in vista del traguardo; nel suo caso la laurea specialistica in Design della Comunicazione al Politecnico di Milano. Al momento sta svolgendo uno stage nel nostro gruppo di sviluppo software, lavorando per trasformare il nostro prossimo progetto (ancora segreto, ma non per molto!) da un brutto cigno in qualcosa di bello e funzionale. Ma questo è solo l'inizio, e anche lei non avrà certo tempo di annoiarsi.
